TODAY FM are Kings of New York

Last night the New York Festival’s International Radio Awards were held in Manhattan with for the world’s best radio programs & promos being honoured… and Today FM has taken home three trophies!

Dermot Whelan collected a NYF Bronze Radio Award for his podcast series The Booze Chronicles in which he documents the social, psychological and health effects of giving up alcohol.

The station picked up two further Bronze awards for the BAI-assisted documentary Modern Family, produced by Mary Carrol, and for Juliette Gash’s emotional series Languishing in Lebanon which new features detailing life in the Syrian refugee camps.

The signature Art Deco radio microphone trophy is now a “must have” in radio land and we are very proud to add to the ever-expanding trophy cabinet in Marconi House!

We’d also like to say a huge well done to all the winners at this year’s New York Festivals International Radio Awards.
