Tuesday, 18th November 2014: Communicorp station, Spin launched its brand new free and interactive magazine with the help of industry insiders, media moguls and lucky competition winners at a commemorative party hosted in the stylish, Candle Bar at Kelly’s Hotel. The legendary Spinis snapped shots of the beautiful guests on arrival before attendees became the newest IN Magazine cover stars, with their very own personalised IN Magazine covers. In customary Spin style, resident DJ Becki Miller spun the decks with the very best of chart topping hits, ensuring the Spin 1038 IN Magazine launch was a night to remember.
Guests were given the opportunity to win incredible spot prizes including an iPad mini and dinner for two in the new all day dining brasserie, Balfes by simply inventing the cleverest caption for images of the night via twitter using hashtag #INMagazine.
Attendees viewed the latest issue of IN Magazine, packed with everything you want and love from the pages of your favourite glossy, from screens and iPads dotted around the room. Available exclusively on your iPad and iPhone, IN magazine brings you all the best beauty tips and tutorials, the hottest new music, tasty cocktail recipes, high street trends and the coolest places to visit; the very best editorial features supported with video, audio and so much more. The launch of IN Magazine coincides with Spin 1038’s recently launched rebrand, gradually introducing changes across the board.
Remarking on these changes, Spin CEO Jamie Crawford, who has worked with the station since its inception, says, “Spin is nowso much more than just a radio station, it’s a multimedia brand and has been evolving in this way for quite a while now so it was an easy progressionfor us to bring all that rich online content and personality to IN Magazine – a new online publication and our latest venture. Our listeners have grown up with the station;as a result our core audience is now mid to late 20’s but our research shows that they stillwant to remain connected with what’s on trend through multiple platforms. We have the biggest social media footprint of any media brand in the country and our website is averaging 2.5 million page impressions a month so this new outlet is sure to be a welcome addition to the ever-expanding Spin Empire.”
Speaking at the launch, IN Magazine editor, Teresanne O’Reilly enthused “I’m thrilled to have been heading up IN Magazine since its first issue in August. SPIN has always been the first to deliver entertainment content to its listeners on air, via Spin1038.com and across its social media platforms. These fans and followers consume so much of this content via their smartphones and tablets, so it was only natural that Spin branch out into digital publishing. IN Magazine is exactly what these digital natives want; it provides entertaining fashion, beauty, celebrity, travel and music news; it’s available instantly on their iPads and iPhones; aesthetically it offers everything that a traditional magazine does but with supplementary interactive multi-media content where you can read, watch, listen, look and play. The response so far has been phenomenal. Readers are lapping up IN Magazine and we can’t wait to watch it grow with every edition.”
