Sandstorm returns with extended 10K Course

It’s back and tougher than ever. After the huge success of last year’s event SPIN 1038 is delighted to bring back SANDSTORM, a one of a kind endurance race that will test your limits!
The unique race, organised by Spin 1038, takes place on May 9th at Dollymount Strand and is open to anyone who dares to enter.
Last September, Spin 1038 launched the unique event, initially as a 5km obstacle course through sand. The race, the first of its kind in Ireland, consisted of multiple course challenges such as a tyre mound, a netted pyramid, an eight-foot wall, and a Slip and Slide, putting participants through their paces. This year Sandstorm is bigger and better, with a 10K course, double the amount of obstacles and double the pain.
Speaking about SANDSTORM, CEO of SPIN1038 Jamie Crawford said, “With the massive success of last year we wanted to build on an event that challenged people to get fit and have fun. We have made it tougher to appeal to a larger audience. We have decided to make the course a 10K and to host it twice, once in May and again in September!”
Adrenaline junkies won’t find another endurance race like SANDSTORM. Register early on, as spaces are limited. Registration costs €35 to enter with prizes on the day for fastest finisher and fastest team. Race check-in begins at 10am on Saturday, 9th May with race start at 12noon.
