National First for Newstalk 106-108 fm

JNLR results released today, 12th February, show Newstalk 106–108 fm reaches 509,000 listeners nationally every week, an increase of 14% year on year. The station's evening sports show, "Off The Ball" has scored a first for Newstalk by becoming the No.1 national show in  the 19.00-22.00 slot on an AQH basis with an average quarter hour (AQH) of 21,000 listeners, up 31% year on year.

Other key highlights include:

· The station's 09.00-12.00 time slot, Tom Dunne, is up a significant 55% year on year. This represents just 4 months of Tom's new show on Newstalk.
· All other primetime programmes show growth year on year with Lunchtime with Eamon Keane and the Breakfast show with Claire Byrne and Ger Gilory particularly significant (increases of 37% & 31% respectively
· Weekend shows, Down to Business (up 22%) and Weekend Blend (up 45%) also show significant growth.
