Splanc Returns to Newstalk 106-108 fm
10th March 2009
Newstalk 106-108 fm’s weekly Irish language programme Splanc is set to return to the airwaves on Friday, March 6th at 10pm. Presented by Daragh Ó Tuama, Splanc is an informative, engaging and entertaining programme providing enthusiasts of the native tongue a weekly bite of Irish life.
Splanc is accessible to all listeners regardless of their knowledge of the language. If you’re someone who hasn’t spoken a word since you put the pen down on your leaving cert Irish exam, or are a native Irish speaker who uses the language every day, Splanc has something for you.
Each week Daragh Ó Tuama will welcome a panel of guests into studio to discuss everything from the main news stories of the day, to more light hearted topics. From politicians and experts to well known voices and personalities of the Irish language community, Painéil Splanc offers topical debate and banter second to none.
As before, Splanc will bring you the very best music Ireland has to offer. Seisiún Splanc welcomes musicians of all disciplines into studio to share their craft with you. From traditional to jazz, from folk music to world music, Daragh will have the very best musical talent in the land performing live in studio.
So whether you’re trying to expand on your cúpla focail, or are an out and out Gaeilgóir, Splanc is the programme for you. We look forward to your company every Friday night at 10pm.
