Boyzone’s Mickey Graham warns the 98FM Morning Crew about the dangers of showbiz

Mikey Graham was on the 98FM Morning Crew this week asking Dubliners to spit on him! The Boyzone star gave lucky 98FM listeners the chance to win tickets for the upcoming reunion tour, by getting listeners to text in their entry and the winner had to answer their phone saying Spit on me Mikey! Thousands of die hard fans were on tender hooks waiting for the call ready to Spit on Mikey to win the tickets and chat to their favourite Boyzone star!

Jokingly christened, Mikey Soprano by the 98FM Morning Crew, after his acting coach said he had that Sopranos look about him, Mikey openly chatted about his acting career which he said he started to focus on “seriously” three years ago. Dermot, Dave and Siobhan mischievously played a clip from a gangster movie called Fatal Deviation which Mikey had starred in years before and admitted; “It was so bad, it was actually good!”

After spending time acting in Hollywood it seems Mikey Graham has become very wary but wise to the world of showbiz and gave some pearls of wisdom to all budding young starlets about the dangers of showbiz: “The music and entertainment industry in general, is a high pressure environment, be under no illusions, psychologically it can be disturbing”

He also commented on the amazingly talented Amy Winehouse, as a prime example of someone caught in the headlights of fame and fortune: “There’s nobody looking after that girl, she is such a fantastic talent and seems to be a victim of the industry.”
