This week from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd January, it’s Powering Kindness week and Newstalk wants you to show some kindness!
Newstalk Breakfast will be raising money for The Marie Keating Foundation, Moncrieff and Newstalk Lunchtime have teamed up with the Irish Heart foundation, while The Right Hook is supporting Childline. It’s really simple! Just do a good deed for someone, then text either MARIE/HEART or CHILD followed by your good deed to 53106 (costs 30c) or enter your deed on the Powering Kindness website and pick the charity you would like to benefit.
At the end of the week, Electric Ireland will share the sum of €130,000 between the three charities, with the largest amount going to the charity with the highest number of good deeds in their name.
The presenters have already been logging deeds for their chosen charities – have a look to see how you can play a part:
So whether its washing your neighbour’s car for The Marie Keating foundation; making your loved one breakfast in bed for The Irish Heart Foundation; or just making a colleague a cup of tea for Childline – it’s the deed that counts.
Make sure to tune in to Newstalk and help celebrate Electric Ireland’s Powering Kindness week.
