Commenting on the announcement Colette Fitzpatrick said: “I’m very excited to be joining the Newstalk line-up. I’ve been looking for a way to get back into radio for a couple of years, to a show where I can give women a platform to discuss issues that are important to us. I’m thrilled this opportunity has arisen with Newstalk, and think it will be a perfect complement to my other journalistic endeavours. I look forward to sharing the mic with an interesting mix of people and providing an engaging hour of entertainment which I hope will be a great addition to people’s Sunday mornings”.
Garrett Harte, Newstalk Editor-in-Chief also commented on the announcement: “We are delighted to announce Colette Fitzpatrick’s addition to the Newstalk team. Colette has been a powerhouse in Irish journalism for almost two decades and she will bring her considerable experience, compassion, insight and wit to the new programme. The Colette Fitzpatrick Show is a great addition to Newstalk’s line-up and we hope it will introduce a wider audience to the great content Newstalk has to offer.”
