Communicorp take home more gold awards than any other radio group

Communicorp was the most successful radio group at the 2017 IMRO Radio Awards in Kilkenny last night, taking home more Gold awards than RTÉ or the Wireless Group combined. Stations across the Communicorp Group scooped 40 awards in total, including 15 Gold.

The IMRO Radio Awards recognise the achievements of Irish radio industry personnel, both on-air and behind the scenes, and are judged by a panel of 90 industry experts, across 37 different categories.

Speaking about Communicorp’s success, Adrian Serle, Group CEO at Communicorp, said: “I am very proud of everyone at Communicorp who was nominated and all those that picked up an award. We are delighted with this year’s result, which included 15 Gold, 11 Silver and 14 Bronze Awards. I would like to congratulate everyone involved for their continuing hard work, energy and drive that has earned them this level of recognition.

“Radio remains high profile and much loved across Ireland and I am inspired by the brilliant, creative and engaging work our teams do, day in day out, and to be recognised by such a collection of awards is great testament to this.”
