Communicorp launched its first radio stations in Ireland in 1989. In 1992, following the Velvet Revolution, the Group established a strong presence in the Czech Republic.
In 2004 Communicorp acquired the Metromedia radio group adding presence in Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland and Hungary. In late 2008 Communicorp launched its first stations outside of Europe with that of SPIN Jordan and Ayyam FM in Jordan. In February of 2014, Communicorp acquired 8 regional radio stations from Global in the UK forming CommunicorpUK.
In 2013 Communicorp conducted a strategic review which led to the disposal of some of its European assets.

Communicorp also produce a diverse range of programming that is concentrated on local languages, music, news and current affairs.
