Dublin’s 98FM completed another media first this morning by broadcasting their Big Breakfast show live from the Etihad Skyline at Croke Park.
With panoramic views of the city as their backdrop, Big Breakfast presenters, Steven Cooper & Luke O’Faolain treated 20 lucky listeners to a spectacular one of a kind performance from Irish singer/songwriter Gavin James at the iconic venue.
James, who has had a phenomenal 2016 so far with his current single ‘Nervous’ reaching over 7 million plays on Spotify globally; plays the main stage at Electric Picnic and will play to the 3Arena on December 9th, so is no stranger to impressive venues.
Speaking about the show going to new heights, show presenters Cooper & Luke said, “we had this idea of doing 98FM’s Big Breakfast from the Etihad Skyline on the roof of Croke Park. This has never been done before by anyone else so we thought, why not? When they said yes, we thought we’re going to have to try get Gavin James along too! No sign of the rumoured EP hurricane and we’d a great morning 44 metres above the iconic stadium with unbeatable views of Dublin. We’d a blast!”
Theresa Byrne, Marketing Manager at Croke Park commented “We were delighted to partner with 98FM’s Big Breakfast for this unique live broadcast from the Etihad Skyline. The fact that Gavin James came on board, as well as a group of VIP prize winners, made it even more special. However you don’t have to be a VIP to experience the thrill of walking on the rooftop of Croke Park. The Etihad Skyline is a guided tour that combines the best bird’s eye view of Dublin with insights into the city’s celebrated landmarks”
