98FM named ‘Music Station of the Year’ at the 2013 PPI Radio Awards

Dublin-based radio station 98FM has been named the ‘Music Station of the Year’ at the 2013 PPI Radio Awards. 98FM scooped the highest honour at the “Oscars of Irish Radio” in Kilkenny on Friday night.

98FM “Dublin’s Best Music Mix” has recently undergone a schedule change with the Ray Foley Show filling the breakfast slot and the ever popular Dermot and Dave gaining an extra hour of air time in the afternoon.

Adrian Kennedy and his co-presenter Jeremy Dixon will also join the station next year from rival FM104 to present a mid-morning, Dublin-focused phone-in show.

98FM programme director Michael Brett said “I’m delighted with the result. It’s an amazing achievement for the whole team at 98FM to be named ‘Music Station of The Year’. We’ve added some great people to our existing talented line up in the last 12 months and have some very exciting developments in the pipeline.”
