To celebrate 98FM’s new campaign ‘Made of Dublin’ 98FM called on listeners to CREATE 98 by finding or creating 98FM in their everyday Dublin surroundings for a chance to win €5000.
The competition, which ran through the month of February was driven by a strong digital campaign and supported with OOH across the city. The iconic campaign demonstrates that 98FM is immersed in all things Dublin, so much so, that it is actually in the fabric of the city.
Marketing Manager of 98FM, Kathryn Ryan explains why the ‘Create 98’ mechanic to the campaign was crucial “We created an amazing outdoor campaign which showcases that 98FM is literally ‘Made of Dublin’ and we wanted our listeners to do the same and get involved in a unique & personal way. The response has been phenomenal with some really clever entries showing a real understanding for what our campaign was all about.”
The winning entry came from graphic designer Laura Middleton. Laura incorporated all of the major Dublin landmarks into the 98FM logo & then brought it to life by photographing it in iconic locations around Dublin.
Laura has won herself a whopper cheque for €5000 for her efforts.
Speaking about the win, Laura said “I’m so thrilled, I’m planning a trip to New Zealand next year so this prize money will go a long way towards paying for that”.
98FM received hundreds of unique & amazing entries over the course of the campaign. Entries varied from the 98FM logo made completely from food, an entire school forming the logo in the school yard, a rainbow of skittles in the shape of 98, to a new litter of Pugs creating 98FM.
